A funny and sad story. Liberia has no electricity net outside Monrovia and even within Monrovia it is difficult to get connected. I have been trying since I moved into my present residence. I sent one assistant to the LEC office at least 2 x per week for the past 10 months. We made numerous payments. At first they told us we could get power from the transformer at the Tubman Boulevard as the lines running through our back road are so far only high tension wires and nobody there is connected yet. Of course I had to buy the poles (4 pcs). When the first two were planted (they then become automatically property of LEC) they told me that the transformer on Tubman Blvd. is already overloaded and we should wait small for the transformer at the back road to become energized.
