“No change” on policy for wind-farms, says PM

The Microbial Greenhouse

David Cameron has said that there will be no change in the government’s policy on sustainable energy. This comes in response to comments at the centre of a coalition dispute from Tory energy minister John Hayes that the country has “enough” wind farms.

Lib Dem MP Ed Davey, who is in charge of the government’s energy policy added:

“The government is still committed to renewables including onshore wind. They are the cheapest available major renewable source and as the Prime Minister made clear today in the House of Commons the policy on renewables hasn’t changed.”
